valuable funds for LUPUS UK

VIRGIN LONDON MARATHON

LUPUS UK has 25 guaranteed places for the Virgin London Marathon. If you are interested in applying for one of these places you need to contact Janine, preferably by email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it giving name, address and telephone number by end April for the following year. We hold an inhouse ballot of all those requesting places and those selected are informed by the beginning of August.
UNFORTUNATELY WE CAN NO LONGER ACCEPT APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2011 MARATHON AS WE ARE OVER SUBSCRIBED.

BRIGHTON MARATHON 2011

We have purchased 10 Golden Bond places for the 2011 Brighton Marathon. It is to be held on 10^th April 2011 – further details to follow.

BRITISH 10K LONDON RUN

We have 24 guaranteed places for the London 10k. If you are interested in this event please contact Janine. Have a look at their website www.thebritish10klondon.co.uk

We still have a few places left for this event so please hurry if you want to take part - you only need to pledge £150 to secure your place.

This is quite a new event, a half Marathon around London. We have 30 places available for this race which is all done to music. Have a look at their website www.runtothebeat.co.uk where you will find the route map and lots more information. Again you need to contact Janine to secure a place.

This is usually held during October, Lupus Awareness Month. Go That Extra Mile is a three mile walk then add a fourth. Walkers find 20 people to sponsor them £1 each. Everyone arranges their own walk, around the park, around the block, wherever they like.

Where there's a will, there's a way...

To make a stronger impact in funding essential research into lupus, LUPUS UK is seeking to increase income. The LUPUS UK Legacy Guide describes what is vital in the writing of a will and what can happen if people fail to record their wishes correctly. Almost 50% of adults have not made a will and their estate could thus be disposed of in a way that would not have met with their wishes.

The LUPUS UK Legacy Guide is comprehensive yet easily understood and is recommended to members of the charity and others who would like to support LUPUS UK in this way.
