Benefits
Benefits and Financial Support
Living with lupus can sometimes affect your ability to work or manage daily expenses. While Lupus UK does not provide welfare benefits advice directly, we understand how important it is to access the right support.
We do not have expertise in welfare benefits, but we can:
Signpost you to reputable sources of information and guidance, including:
- Government resources for up-to-date information on benefits and eligibility.
- Specialist charities and organisations that offer advice and practical help.
- Local support services that can assist with applications and appeals.
Be a listening ear – If you’re thinking about what you may be entitled to or feeling overwhelmed by the process, you can talk to us. We can’t give detailed benefits advice, but we can listen, provide emotional support, and help you find the right organisations to guide you.
Getting support and advice
If you need help understanding what benefits you may be entitled to, or how to apply, we recommend contacting organisations that specialise in welfare advice. These include:
- Disability Rights UK – Home Page | Disability Rights UK
- Citizens Advice – Benefits – Citizens Advice
- Benefits calculators – such as Turn2us Benefits Calculator or entitled to benefits calculator
